An Introduction to me...

Picture of me playing the tuba. Hello, welcome to my home page. I am currently working as a Software Engineer at Citrix, working on Web Interface, based just outside Cambridge in Cambourne. I graduated in summer 2006, with a 1st, from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge after three years studying Computer Science.

The picture to the right of this text is from an Advent Party at Fisher House. I am the one fourth from the left playing the tuba along with some friends from the Cambridge University Brass Band. I currently play Bb (and sometimes Eb) Bass with City of Cambridge Brass Band.

I was born in Hull, grew up in a village called Broughton, near Scunthorpe, in North Lincolnshire, and I currently live on the outskirts of Cambridge, near Fen Ditton.

If you would like to get in contact, use john then the usual @ sign, followed by johngarbutt.com. You could also have a look at my Facebook profile.

I seem to be very busy these days. I spend my evenings and weekends playing the tuba, meeting up with friends, and going along to things at Fisher House. I have even managed all three at the same time! As for tuba playing, see the section on music. As for the Catholic Church, I am an altar server at Fisher House and I was Chairman of the Fisher Society for the year 2005-2006.

There is a lot of random stuff to be found on this site. Happy browsing!
